Counties include Erie, Niagara.
Length is 28.45 miles.
Exits 1-21 is maintained by the New York Thruway Authority as the "Niagara Thruway". Exit 22 to the Canadian Border is maintained by NYSDOT. Interstate 190 was originally numbered as I-90N, but was renumbered to I-190 before it's completion. Interstate 190 is currently the only signed three digit Interstate in the country to take you to an international border.
On official logs, the Thruway Authority numbers the exits with an "N" prefix and marks the milepost in the same manner.
The Thruway Authority portion was a toll road until October 2006. The only toll portion that remains are the Grand Island bridges.
