Interstate 88 Exit Listing

Runs entirely within the boundaries of New York, through the counties of Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, Schoharie and Schenectady.
Begins just north of Binghamton at Interstate 81 and ends at Interstate 90 in Schenectady.
Observant travelers will notice that some signs have exit numbers that were added to the signs later. This is because Interstate 88 was completed after 1974 and there was debate whether it would carry distance based or sequential exit numbers. The NYSDOT MUTCD at the time stipulated that any interstate completed after 1974 would have distance based exit numbers, however, this was deleted from the NYSDOT MUTCD in 1983.
One of two Interstate 88s in the U.S., the other being entirely within the state of Illinois.
