Interstate 490 Exit 21

Region 4 tends to sign things a little differently than elsewhere in the state. For example, they prefer using "A/B" exit numbers for directionally split exits, rather than the E/W or N/S that is common elsewhere in the state (which runs contrary to the National MUTCD). Region 5 uses the A/B method as well. At this particular interchange, there are no destinations on the sign, simply Interstate 590 or NY Route 590. In addition, Exit 21 signage doesn't indicate that the exit splits into two directions. The addition of the control destinations would prove invaluable to motorists.
